Thank you so much. I have been looking for such an article for over two weeks while trying to support my Choir with recorded hymns for a 'live' broadcast service from the Vicarage! Dah! Knew nothing about audio recording and am merely an Organist/Pianist and finding my way as quickly as possible with the lockdown pandemic situation!
I bought a UHURU UCB microphone which works fine but clearly does not give the flexibility and quality sound I seek. So found Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and love it. But no-one would tell me why I could not adapt a USB connection. Nor what to do instead or even why! Just lots of rather trashy video's showing how to unbox kit and plug in what can be plugged in! Nor why an adapter cannot work. Dah!
Now I need to bite the bullet and try and persuade Focusrite to sell me a CM25 dynamic microphone that fits. Or buy another within my budget. Please writing these clearly instructional articles - some of us know the value of reading. Thank you and recommendations for suitable dynamic microphones would be appreciated.
